Goldfields Travel is a trading name of Creative Nation Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 73 624 476 964). I'm Allison Jones, and I look after your personal information. This policy explains what I collect, why, and what I do with it. Travel bookings are made through Travelglobe Pty Ltd, which has its own privacy policy (travelglobe.com.au) that also applies to your bookings.
What I collect
Your contact details: name, email, phone number and address.
Trip details: where and when you'd like to travel, who's coming, your interests and budget, and anything you've already booked.
Details needed to book travel: names as they appear on passports, dates of birth, passport details and loyalty program numbers. I don't keep your card details. Payments are handled by Travelglobe and payment providers.
Sensitive details, only if you choose to share them and I need them to plan your trip: dietary needs, health or mobility needs, and family or relationship details.
Voucher and referral details: for gift vouchers, the buyer's and recipient's names and contact details, and any message; for referrals, the name of the person who referred you.
Website information: standard details such as your browser, device, the pages you visit and how you found the site, collected using cookies and similar tools.
How I collect it
Mostly directly from you: through the forms on this website, the planning questionnaire, calls, meetings and emails. Sometimes from someone booking on your behalf, such as a partner or family member. I collect website information automatically when you visit.
Why I collect it
To reply to your enquiry, and to plan, book and manage your travel.
To help you if something changes or goes wrong before or during your trip.
To issue and redeem gift vouchers, and to run the referral program.
To manage payments, invoices and records, and to meet legal obligations.
With your consent, to send you travel ideas and news.
To understand how the website is used, and to improve it.
Who I share it with
Travelglobe, through which your bookings are made.
Travel suppliers such as airlines, hotels, tour and cruise operators, transfer companies and insurers, but only what they need to provide your booking.
Service providers who help me run my business, such as my website host, email and payment providers, and accountants.
Authorities, where the law requires it.
I never sell your information.
Overseas suppliers
Many travel suppliers, and some of the systems I use, are based overseas, including in the United States. When you ask me to book with an overseas supplier, your details have to be sent to them. I only send what's needed, but once your information is overseas I can't control how it's handled, and Australian privacy law may not apply to the supplier.
Marketing
I only send you marketing emails if you've asked for them or agreed to them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also tell me directly at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar tools to keep it working and to understand how it's used. You can turn cookies off in your browser, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
Keeping your information safe, and for how long
I take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. I keep it for as long as I need it to help you and for as long as the law requires for booking and financial records, then I delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, withdraw your consent to marketing, or ask me to delete information I no longer need. Contact me using the details below.
Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact me first and I'll do my best to sort it out. If you're not happy with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Children
I deal with adults aged 18 and over. If you're booking for children, I collect their details from you as their parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
